Gasoline Magazine
August, 2021 Issue

In 2019 or 2020, I was contacted by Sondre Kvipt, who has a website called Kustomrama. He saw a photo of the 1949 Chevrolet 2 door Fleetline that I had posted on the HAMB, a blog site I visit from time to time. The Fleetline is the car I drove when I attended Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, CA. Sondre asked me to send him some additional photos for his site. As things usually go with me, time drug on and he sent several reminders to me about getting more photos. I had to find the original slides and prints so I could re-scan them to get better images, and I sent him a few.

To make a long story short, this went on for about a year. During that time I gave him descriptions about the photos, as I was sending them. As he asked for more info and photos, he also asked for more info about my teenage years, and the Vampires and Magoos car clubs I belonged to in the 1950's. I ended up writing more after he said he wanted to publish an article in a Swedish magazine he writes for.

Fast forward to 2021; I received a copy of Gasoline Magazine in the mail. I think he used almost all the photos I sent him, and had what I wrote translated from English to Swedish.
